a lot of things to sell

I haven't posted in a LONG time. Honestly, I never think about it. So if you read this, you might wonder why my first post in years is about a Warehouse Sale.  The "shop" has been used as our storage building for years. I like the saying "out of sight, out of mind". And that is what happened. Things just kept getting piled up....and forgotten.  And that is what is NOT supposed to happen.  We buy things that we love and find joy in for. the very hope that someone else will want to give that item an extra chance at life--an extra chance at love.  I also like to tell myself that we are being environmentally conscious by recycling, when in reality we all know it is because I love stuff.  Anyway, I am rambling.  

We are moving out of our rented space and therefore,  we need to get rid of some of the treasures.  Now mind you, I am no desperate to part with my things, so they are not going to be given away, but we are ready to make some good deals for some very high quality pieces--especially on some of the furniture.  Let me give you a bit of background.  

For the Asian pieces, Mark bought the contents of a whole home estate several years ago that was the belongings of a couple that lived in Singapore and Malaysia for about 25 years, from the 60's until mid 1980s.  Anyway, we have a whole bunch of Asian furniture that needs to find their new, forever home.  There is a Chinese Wedding Bed (Opium Bed), 3 Altar Tables, 2 Tansu Chests, Artwork, Rattan and Wicker Furniture.

Many lovely antique oak pieces.  I know so many people love to buy these and paint them. Ugh.  Honestly, and I have to be honest here, it breaks my heart to see these pieces stripped and painted to modern colors, but I guess that I must swallow my distaste and let new generations love the quality however they like to.  Anyway, I am going to be posting a bunch of pictures on our Facebook page and if you hit the little button up above, you will be taken directly there to see the treasures.
